In the late 1950s, a small house on West Grand Boulevard in Detroit became the birthplace of a profound musical revolution. This was the inception of Motown, a movement that was destined to redefine not only American music but also its cultural ethos. Founded by Berry Gordy in 1959 with just an $800 loan from his family, Motown Records began as a dream, quickly evolving into a groundbreaking force echoing across generations, reshaping racial perceptions, and setting a new rhythm for societal change....
